Dentures

Implant Dentistry

Dentures are removable appliances that are used to replace missing teeth. A partial denture can be fabricated when some teeth are present, or a full denture is made when all teeth are missing. Dentures are made from an acrylic plastic resin, to snake them strong and last longer.  Dentures should be cleaned daily and taken out every night to allow the tissues to breathe.

Partial Dentures VS. Complete Dentures

Partial dentures are recommended when patients don’t have enough teeth or strong enough teeth to support a bridge or implants aren’t an option. Partial dentures are made up of one or more artificial teeth that may require a metal clasp to hold the denture in place, depending on the location of the already existing missing teeth. Complete dentures, or known as “full dentures”, are used when there is no teeth remaining. These dentures are held in place by a suction

Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures are made prior to having any treatment done by taking an impression of the existing teeth. The denture is made in a lab and is delivered the day of your treatment, in which you will have teeth same day of your tooth removal appointment

Standard Dentures

After tooth removal, your gums and bone will start to shrink as they are adjusting to teeth no longer being present. Everyone’s healing rate is different, ranging between 6 weeks to 3 months depending on the person, could take more or less time. Once the healing process has completed, impressions are taken and the denture fabrication process begins. This is the most comfortable option for patients and has the optimal results.
